The Geyser Controller

Geysers are amongst the worst offenders when it comes to energy  consumption in your home , they also account for up to a third of all domestic Co2 emissions and up to as much as 60% of the electricity bill in the average household. Here are a few facts :

What can we do to avoid this needless waste ?

Most families bath or shower at particular times of the day such as the evening or in the morning. However , your geyser switches on and off  24 to 30 times a day. Every time the temperature drops 2 to 3 degrees , the thermostat switches the element back on and heats the water back to 65 – 70 degrees.

Geyser Controller is a device that has been designed to prevent your geyser from heating up water when it is not required. This means that it can decrease your electricity consumption  by up to as much as 30% or more , hence saving the consumer valuable money whilst enjoying hot water 24 hours a day as well as saving our precious energy resources.

How does it Work ?

Geyser controller is installed next to your distribution board and is programmed to switch off your geyser when hot water is not required in large amounts. It is not the same as a timer because it detects current and not time. Unlike the timer , Geyser Controller will wait until you have finished using hot water , then it will allow the water in the geyser to reach the pre-set temperature before switching off.

This means that you will have sufficient hot water to wash dishes or hands , etc , until the device automatically switches the geyser back on in time for your next shower or bath. The Geyser Controller is multi-programmable with 23 hours daily time and temperature settings.
